Six Cards Magic Trick

The trick is to guess one number from the six cards below.

Before you start, print this page, cut out the six cards, then follow the directions below.

Directions

Ask for a volunteer from the audience and give them all six cards.
Tell the volunteer to pick one of the numbers from the cards and memorize it.
Tell the volunteer to hand you all the cards that contain their number.
Ask the volunteer to look at the cards again and make sure they handed you all appropriate cards.
Look at number in the lower left corner of each card in your hand.
Add those numbers. For example, if they hand you the card with a 4 in the lower left and the card with a 2 in the lower left, add 2 + 4 to get 6.
Announce the answer and accept applause gracefully.
