Night of Code

Night of Code

Thanks for joining us at the premier Night of Code event on Monday, December 5, 2016 6:00-8:00pm at RJ Grey JHS Library for grades 3 to 5 students accompanied by an adult. This event was sponsored by AB PIP STEM and the AB Schools.

The Night of Code is a fun-filled Night of Code, a two-hour introduction to computer science through games and activities. Price is FREE but registration is required.

Bring a laptop, tablet, iPad or smart phone if you have one. If not, we can lend you one. This event coincides with Computer Science Education Week. Read the flyer

The limit is 50 students and we are filling up fast. We will include some of these Night of Code activities in our next event, Family Math Game Night in January.

Handouts and Web Links

The night of code is based on games and lessons at code.org. We will have eight tables with various activities that introduce coding. Some of the activities are paper based; others are online.

Students can complete activities in any order they like, and collect a stamp for each activity on this passport.  There is an optional accelerated activities station for young computer gurus.

Here is the itinerary and links to details. Play the online games at home at code.org.
