2020 Skate FUNdraiser

Thank you for attending the 21st Annual AB Skate FUNdraiser on Sunday, March 8 from 2pm-4pm at Nashoba Valley Olympia Rink (rink #3) Rte 111 in Boxborough and launching the local Acton tribute to Caroll Spinney (Acton High Class of 1951) aka ‘Big Bird’ and Oscar the Grouch!

Family Skate

Skating, DJ music and refreshments were enjoyed by all ages & ice skating abilities. Non-skaters and  ‘Big Bird’ supporters were welcome! Many wore 'Big Bird' YELLOW & shared local memories & memorabilia that celebrated Caroll. We shared 'seeds of kindness' (sunflower bookmarks and seeds from the West Acton Citizens' Library).

Suggested donation: $20 family or $5pp. Participants brought healthy foods to share, non-perishables for food pantry and travel size items for local Acton housing families. ALL proceeds benefitted Acton area causes: local food pantries, AB PIP STEM & community wellness & eco causes. Sponsored by AB PIP STEM and local families. Read the flyer. #bigbirdacton
